The coronavirus epidemic has recently stabilized in the Czech Republic. Severe cases are minimal, the number of new cases is low, and vaccination rates are on the rise. Despite this good fortune, there are still a few anti-epidemic measures that need to be followed. Additionally, please be prepared for any changes that we may have to make if the situation gets worse. We will inform you immediately about important changes.
At the moment, the most important factor is your country of departure. Here is a map of countries and their risk levels:
Before traveling to the Czech Republic, make sure you fill out an arrival form (https://plf.uzis.cz/). If you intend to travel from a high-risk or very high-risk country via public transport, you will need to bring proof of a negative test result. Without the arrival form and negative test result, transportation will be denied. If you are traveling here on your own (by car), you will need to be tested in the Czech Republic. A PCR test costs roughly 35 euros. You can get the most recent information from your captains. We also recommend checking the website of the Czech Ministry of Health (https://koronavirus.mzcr.cz/en/list-of-countries-according-to-the-level-of-risk/).
Protecting your health is a priority for us, but we can’t do it without your help. Keep your distance, use face masks as much as possible, keep personal contact to a minimum, and wash your hands regularly. Sanitation stations will be available on both courses. During the tournament, all participants will be tested. We are currently working on whether to use the PCR method or antigenic tests. We will keep your captains updated on what we decide.
During the tournament, the spectators will be separated from the players. Therefore, there will be no close contact. Catering will be safe as well, with enough outdoor seating close to the tournament center.
We encourage viewers to respect basic hygiene. Keep your distance, always use face masks in larger groups. Viewers will not be allowed to enter areas designated for players only. If you are not fully vaccinated, we strongly recommend testing yourself for the safety of others. Always follow instructions from organizers.
More information on how to watch the tournament will be posted on edgc2021.com before the start of the championship.
